Who’s this for and what should I bring?
Whether you’re a first time visitor with no artistic experience, or a professional artist, you’ll be welcomed into a warm friendly environment by a group of people with a common artistic interest.
Art and life drawing is for everyone, all ages* and abilities .
You’ll need some basic drawing materials and your £10 admission fee. Maybe a bit more money if you intend to use the bar.
You’ll be greeted by Tracy or one of the other artists if she isn’t available.

The host will guide the model(s) through a series of poses. You’ll warm up with some only 2 minutes long and a few challenges, for example drawing without lifting your pencil, or using your opposite hand.
There will be longer poses allowing time for more detail or imagination.
Your model(s) will do their best to hold positions interesting to draw. They’re aware these will be seen differently from different seats and will do their best for everyone.

There’ll be a break after an hour allowing for refreshments and a chat with the artists and models .
In terms of materials most bring along pencils and paper, some bring chalks, graphite or paints, whilst others recycle the most unexpected materials such as old paper bags and boxes.

After two hours the session will draw to a close and there’s a little social time for artists to share their work with others and the model.
Photography
The club is keen to promote art in all forms so photography is encouraged.
Here are of a few images of Robert captured by Tracy, a keen photographer herself.

A few of our models are not keen on being photographed or having their image shared on line, so please check.
Look out for clubs unique themed and outdoor drawing events.
